A leader in national and international cyber threat prevention initiatives, Mike Echols is one of the country’s top cybersecurity experts and CEO of the DC-based Max Cybersecurity LLC, which focuses on building a national cybersecurity and resilience culture.
He previously spent ten years in critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity leadership at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), led several White House national security and stakeholder engagement risk initiatives, chaired the Network Security Information Exchange consisting of cybersecurity experts from Canada, UK, Australia, Canada and the U.S, and also served as the U.S. Representative to the NATO CCPC in Brussels. He is the author of Cybersecure Life, The Government Is Not Coming To Save You and a speaker on national cybersecurity resilience.
